Bale Solah was built in 2007 as a private villa for a family in the Netherlands. The family was very fond of the Balinese style and so the original villa has a Balinese appearance. The villa is built with the best materials and woods. The roof of the villa is made of pure teak wood, expensive but very strong and durable. This is one of the reasons that the villa has suffered little from the earthquakes Lombok has occasionally experienced. After a few years, the family was unable to travel to Lombok often due to circumstances and the entire villa was rented out. The current owners were one of the tenants during these years and fell in love with the villa. In particular, the construction of the villa and the beautiful location in the Kampong Sandik made them decide to take over the management of the villa in 2017. In particular, the current owners have changed a lot on the inside of the villa and made it possible that not only the entire villa can be rented, but also some rooms. This was the beginning of Bale Solah as a small boutique hotel. Currently, three different luxury rooms can be rented or the entire villa.
Staying the night is always with a luxurious a la carte breakfast and in the restaurant you can enjoy an excellent dinner. At the end of 2020, the new cooking school will open, offering three Indonesian cooking classes a week from 11AM to 4PM. In addition, a culinary theme evening will take place on a number of Saturdays per month. The new restaurant will also be opened at the cooking school, for the time being only for our house guests. For our house guests, a new massage salon will be opened by the pool with a pool bar serving delicious drinks.
